Welcome to Books for Bahamas
Each year, millions of people visit the beautiful islands of The Bahamas. When we created Books for Bahamas in 2023, more than 8 million tourists visited. In 2024, that number jumped to 11 million. Imagine if each visitor left behind just one book.
Books for Bahamas is a grassroots effort that encourages travelers to “leave a book behind". We work with hotels, businesses, schools, libraries, and community groups to set up easy-to-find book drop-off spots across the islands. The books are then shared with local communities to support reading and learning.
Whether it’s a children’s story or a novel, your book can make a difference.
