Welcome to Books for Bahamas
Each year, millions of visitors travel to the beautiful islands of The Bahamas—over 8 million in 2023 alone. Imagine the impact if each one left behind a single book.
Books for Bahamas is a grassroots initiative dedicated to encouraging tourists to "leave a book behind." We work with hospitality partners, schools, libraries, and literacy advocates to establish convenient book collection points across the islands. These donated books are then distributed to communities in need—helping to foster a love of reading and support lifelong learning.
Whether it’s a children’s story, a favorite novel, or a useful guidebook, your book can become a gift of knowledge and imagination.
